Dr. Garret Guthrie
Dr. Garret Guthrie grew up in Wichita, Kansas where he first began taking an interest in dentistry. Dr. Guthrie moved to Kansas City to complete his Bachelor degree in chemistry at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). He also participated in the UMKC athletics program as a member of the soccer team where he served as captain his senior year. Dr. Guthrie received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UMKC School of Dentistry and has enjoyed being a member of the dental community ever since. Dr. Guthrie has a passion for providing dental services to the underserved. He currently provides care to patients at the Mission of Hope Clinic in Raytown and has participated as a provider in community outreach events with the Missouri Mission of Mercy. Additionally, Dr. Guthrie spends some of his weekends traveling to Missouri military bases to provide dental care to members of the armed services.
Dr. Guthrie still enjoys playing soccer and being outdoors. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wonderful daughter Gracyn and beautiful wife Kendall, who he is sure you will see around the office from time to time. Kendall grew up in the small community of Odessa, MO where she also developed an interest in healthcare. As a pharmacist, Kendall shares a passion for service and helping improve community health. Dani Gibson, Financial Coordinator
Dani is a big part of the team at Guthrie Family Dental! She will most likely be one of the first team members you encounter when you call or come in. She takes great pride in her job and will make you feel like part of the family. Every person is unique and Dani loves getting to hear everyone’s story. She will be your main contact for insurance and financial questions.
When she is not working hard at the office, she loves spending time with her four year old daughter, Blaire and her newborn son, Ryder! Dani grew up on Air Force bases across the country and has a very diverse background from those experiences. She now calls
Grain Valley home with her husband, Cameron and their two children.
Angel Potts, Dental Hygienist
Angel joined our team in 2021. She attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry where she received a degree in Chemistry and Dental Hygiene. Prior to becoming a hygienist, she was a dental assistant and has been in the dental field since 2018. Angel loves helping her patients reach their highest level of oral health and help them maintain it.
When not at work, Angel can be found playing cards with her family, on a bike ride with her husband and 3 dogs, or doing something crafty.
Rhyannon Patrick, Dental Hygienist
Rhyannon is the newest member of our Guthrie Family Dental team, she has been a great addition to our hygiene team! She grew up in Odessa, Missouri where she currently lives. Rhyannon attended Dental Hygiene school at Concorde Career College - Kansas City where she received her dental hygiene degree. She has always been interested in the healthcare field and loves making people feel more confident in their smile. Rhyannon enjoys developing relationships with her patients and making everyone feel at home at our office. You can count on her to help you achieve your best smile!
When she’s not at the office, Rhyannon enjoys spending time with her family and spending time outdoors! Rhyannon has two dogs she loves to explore nature with, Polly and Lucy.

With 23 years of Dental Assisting experience, Crystal knows dentistry is her passion.
Amber Barker – Dental Hygienist
With a passion for healthy smiles and a heart for people, Amber has been helping patients feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair for over 15 years. She's known for her gentle touch, attention to detail, and genuine care for each person she meets.
When she’s not in the office, Amber is a proud mom to two energetic boys who keep her on her toes! She loves spending time outdoors, growing houseplants and herbs, and exploring all that Kansas City has to offer — from local coffee shops and farmers markets to hidden gems around the city.
Whether it’s chatting about your favorite KC eats or helping you perfect your brushing routine, Amber is here to make your dental visit something to smile about. 😁
Jenna – Dental Hygienist
Jenna is a proud recent graduate of the UMKC School of Dentistry, where she earned her degree in dental hygiene and discovered her passion for helping people feel confident in their smiles. Her positive energy, gentle approach, and commitment to patient care make her a great addition to our team!
Outside of the office, Jenna is soaking up post-grad life with her adorable kitten, who loves to "help" her study and chase anything that moves. 🐾 She enjoys exploring Kansas City’s coffee shops, cheering on the Roos, and continuing to grow her skills in all things dental.

Hannah Begemann – Patient Coordinator
Chances are, Hannah will be the friendly voice you hear when you call and the first smiling face you see when you walk through our doors! As our patient coordinator, she helps keep everything running smoothly — from scheduling to insurance questions — all while making every patient feel welcomed and cared for.
Hannah is currently expecting her first baby — a sweet baby boy! 💙 She’s soaking up every moment of the journey and can’t wait to become a mom. When she’s not at the front desk, you’ll find her enjoying the great outdoors, spending time with animals (she’s a big animal lover!), or heading to concerts with friends to catch her favorite bands live. 🎶🐾🌿

Andrea Chandanais– Insurance Coordinator
Andrea is the go-to expert when it comes to navigating dental insurance! You may also see her in the back as an assistant. With years of experience and a passion for helping patients make the most of their benefits, she works hard behind the scenes to make your dental visits smooth, stress-free, and clearly explained.
At home, life is full of energy and love — Andrea is a proud mom to three amazing sons and shares her home with three spoiled cats who rule the roost. 🐾💙 She’s also a big fan of all things green and growing, with a home full of thriving houseplants. When she’s not working or chasing after cats, you can find her enjoying the outdoors, planning her next travel adventure, or exploring new trails and hidden gems around town.

Aubrey Bell– Dental Assistant
Aubrey brings both skill and heart to our clinical team as a dental assistant. Alex is one of the friendly faces you'll see chairside, making sure your dental visit is smooth, comfortable, and stress-free. With a caring personality and a strong attention to detail, she’s passionate about helping patients feel at ease and leaving with a confident smile.
Outside of the office, Alex enjoys spending time with her fiancé and wonderful stepdaughter, whether they’re going on walks, cooking up something new in the kitchen, or enjoying a quiet night in with their busy household of pets. She’s a proud pet mom to three cats — Smoky, Bandit, and Snowman — as well as a lovable dog and some happy fish who round out the family. 🐱🐶🐟

Shania Stewart– Dental Hygienist
Shania is a gentle, detail-oriented hygienist who loves helping patients feel confident about their smiles. She’s passionate about preventive care and enjoys building lasting relationships with patients of all ages — making sure everyone feels comfortable and cared for in the chair.
At home, Shania stays busy as a proud mom to two young daughters who keep her on her toes and fill her days with laughter. When she’s not at the office, you’ll likely find her in the kitchen baking something sweet, experimenting with new recipes, or tending to her garden full of homegrown herbs and veggies. 🌿🍞 She also loves the thrill of a good thrift find — whether it’s vintage decor, a cozy sweater, or a new treasure for her girls.
